1. What are the types of Participation in BIBD YES! 2020? BIBD YES! 2020 is a hybrid format that has never been done in such scale in Brunei before. It has both Physical and Virtual participations from speakers around the world streaming via Zoom and with Brunei based speakers physically at the venue.

There will also be Virtual Participants watching the Summit via live streams conducted in remote classrooms across the country, and Physical Participants at the JIS Arts Centre and other venues who will be meeting speakers and other delegates face-to-face.

2. I am interested in participating in BIBD YES! 2020, but my school / I have not been shortlisted as a recipient of the BIBD YES! Scholarship. What are my options?
You can put yourself on the waiting list to register as a Paying Physical Participant. Ticket is $200 per person for two days. We will inform you as soon as seats become available.

If your school has been nominated as a beneficiary of BIBD YES! Scholarship, you can still participate in our Virtual Session conducted by your school at no charge.

You can attend as a Virtual Individual Participant. We have 100 available virtual participation slots that we are opening up for free. If you are interested to register for this, please email us at hello@curiousmind.biz.

There will also be Virtual Participants watching the Summit via live streams conducted in remote classrooms across the country, and Physical Participants at the JIS Arts Centre and other venues who will be meeting speakers and other delegates face-to-face.

3. Why am I not able to purchase tickets for BIBD YES! individually yet?
Unfortunately, the maximum capacity for our venue has been reduced from 700 delegates to 350 due to Social Distancing Ruling by the Ministry of Health. With this, the first priority is given to participating schools nominated by sponsors.

For now, you may register to be on our waiting list.

4. I am registered under School Sponsorship. But why am I not able to register for Day 2 events on my registration form, while friends from other (sponsored) schools get to register for Day 2?
There may be two possible reasons for that:

a. Your school may be situated in Belait District. As such, your school has opted for the option for the students to only participate on Day 1, and not on Day 2, for logistical reasons.

b. Your school’s sponsor opted for sponsoring more students to participate from your school for 1 day program, instead of having less students to participate on both days, for the same amount they have allotted for this sponsorship.

5. What is the main difference between the Day 1 and Day 2 Summit program?
Day 1 is:
– Conducted all in JIS Arts Centre.
– More intensive Full Day learning with multiple topics.
– Consists of large scale participation in the plenary hall.
– Two sets of Breakout Classes.

Day 2 is:
– Smaller sessions in different breakout groups in different venues.
– Activity driven, topical and experiential through workshops, masterclasses and onsite visitation.
– Divided into Morning and Evening. No Afternoon session.
– Dinner and T-Shirt are included for the Day 2 Evening program.
